Not always. Performing on a track does not automatically give you composition royalties. Your earnings depend on your agreement and whether you own part of the composition.

If you perform on recorded music that is played, broadcast, or used publicly or commercially in the UAE, EMRA helps ensure your performances are recognised and protected.
General Information
Performers can join EMRA when their recorded performances are used on radio, television, digital platforms, or played in public and commercial spaces such as venues, events, retail locations, and hospitality environments.
Once you become a member, EMRA helps protect your authors’ rights, monitors the use of your works, and ensures that royalties generated from licensed use are collected and distributed fairly, in accordance with UAE Federal Decree Law No. 38 of 2021 and relevant international treaties.
