EMRA’s licensing and royalty collection activities are underway in line with the tariff schedule taking effect on 1 December 2026. The Association’s operations are fully established, and its administrative and licensing processes are in place to serve rights holders and licensees.
The Association is working closely with key industry partners and stakeholders, and has signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with several of them, to align itself to administer music rights according to internationally recognised principles of transparency, accountability and member governance.
Looking further ahead, EMRA’s immediate priorities will focus on going to market, commencing licensing activities throughout the UAE, strengthening its operational capabilities and expanding its network of represented rights holders and international partners. The Association continues to welcome new members and licensees who wish to have their rights administered or license music in the UAE.
